At Davis Designs, I believe that interiors are not solely 'pretty', but are thought through in depth, designed to tell a narrative of the person who it represents. Small, often overlooked details of ergonomics, way finding and user journeys are essential in creating a space that really works, as well as maximising aesthetics to create something beautiful.
how did I discover my love for design?
sketching
Ever since I was 10 years old, I loved drawing. I drew at every opportunity, every spark of inspiration, every medium. I treasure the mountains of sketchbooks that document every curious moment of my childhood.
catering
My artistic flare soon showed up even in my cooking; I love to plate dishes, experiment with flavours, bake and decorate cakes. As well as attending culinary school, I have even been commissioned on a few occasions to make event cakes for friends and family.
decorating
Before I started my interior design degree, I took a year to learn the practical skills of painting and decorating. I loved decorating spaces in my home and visualising the room, and I wanted to have the skills to do it myself.

3D RENDERING AND VISUALISATION
I have plenty of experience using SketchUp, Twinmotion, Photoshop and procreate to render GAs, elevations and create realistic 3D visuals of a space.
research informed design
Not only can I design a space to be efficient and aesthetically pleasing, but I can produce all necessary plans for the site, including small power plans, finishes plans, FF&E plans, RCPs, detail drawings and so much more.
wide skill-set
My portfolio backs up my skills using software like AutoCAD, Fusion360, Revit, InDesign, Illustrator and even hand drawings, but my work experience has solidified my good communication, excellent organisation, teamwork and consistent enthusiasm for design.
styling
Assisted by my artistic perspective, I have produced numerous styling projects that involved professional cameras, lighting and composition to get the perfect shot. Some advertisement examples include Chanel, Tag Heuer, GP&J Baker and restaurant menus.
presentations
Throughout my education, my degree and professional life I have presented numerous times, and have become especially proficient giving strong pitches within a short time frame, as well as providing supporting documentation.
scheduling
For numerous projects I have produced a wide variety of schedules like an FF&E, finishes, lighting, door and joinery. Each one is carefully curated with essential information, lead times and costings.
